In a surprising move the Auburn Point Guard Sharife Cooper was selected 48th overall by the Atlanta Hawks. Most mock drafts had Cooper going anywhere from 12 to 25 and Travis Schlenk once again seems to have selected a player with 1st round value in the 2nd round.
Sharife Cooper averaged 20 points a game with 8 assist in his Freshman season at Auburn. Cooper is one of the better passers in this years class and he will be a welcome addition to the Hawks as they look to solidify their backup point guard position.
