It seems weird what Covid-19 has done to the NBA season because the NBA finals are about to begin and teams like the Atlanta Hawks are beginning their off-season mini camp. The Hawks have created their own version of a bubble by having all the players at one facility and getting some much needed off-season work in. This week some of the players spoke with the media and answered questions about what next season will look like among other things.
Shout out to Jameelah Johnson over at AtlHawksfans.com for uploading some of the videos to the AtlHawksfan Youtube page. Make sure you click here and subscribe to her channel which has tons of great Hawks interviews.
Another voice Hawks fans have wanted to hear from is Clint Capela. He was acquired last year in a blockbuster trade in an effort to help with Atlanta’s defensive struggles. He answered some questions about his health and how he has been adjusting to his new teammates.
John Collins made the social media rounds the other day after sinking 100 free throws in a row during practice. Expectations are high for the young Power Forward and he appears ready for the challenge. He is a new father and has a new perspective on life and he spoke about all these things during his time with the media this week.
Over the next week the Hawks players will be made available to the media and we here at Hawksbeat will do our best to bring you coverage and inform you of what they had to say. Other guys who spoke this week were Kevin Huerter, Bruno Fernando, Coach Pierce and Travis Schlenk. You can find their videos here:
