The NBA draft hasn’t officially opened and teams are already making moves and Atlanta Hawks are one of the teams making headlines.
On Wednesday evening the Hawks completed a trade with the Miami Heat sending them the 44th pick in the 2019 draft for cash and a conditional 2024 second round pick.
It was later reported later by Shams Charania from the Athletic that the Heat paid $1.88 million for the transaction.
More details from the deal

That’s a lot to digest.. we know. In essence the Hawks pretty much sold the pick.
Another one …
Hawks GM Travis Schlenk wasn’t done wheeling and dealing as news broke this morning that the Hawks and Warriors agreed on a deal regarding the the 41st pick.
The Hawks will send the 41st pick in tonight’s draft to Golden State for $1.3 million and a conditional 2024 2nd round pick.
The difference between the two deals is the deal with the Heat appears to be a sale and the one with the Warriors appears to be a sale with a pick included.
Stay tuned as we’ll have more on this as the story unfolds.
