After two home games that saw two different Hawks teams this week they head out for a quick two game road trip before returning home and finishing the week against the Kings and the Heat.
Let’s take a quick look at the upcoming week for the Hawks.
10/29 – @76ers, 7:00pm
The 76ers are slated to be one of the top teams in the East. However Philly has come out the gate rather slow putting up a 3-3 record. Even though Philly is adjusting to their new roster without some of their shooters from last year. The Hawks will have a difficult time matching up with this team but they still have play between the lines.
10/30 – @Cavaliers, 7:00pm
Didn’t we just do this? Whoever put the schedule together thought that Atlanta going to Cleveland in two different weeks but it is what it is. Last time the Hawks were here, Trae Young dropped 35 and the Hawks walked out of that building with a W. Larry Drew has taken over for Ty Lue so this will be a different team this time around.
11/1 – vs Kings, 7:30pm
This will be the Hawks first look at Kings rookie Marvin Bagley. As of print time Bagley was averaging 13 pts and 7 rebounds a game. It seems the Kings are bringing him along slowly but we’ll see if the rookie has a chip on his shoulder for the Hawks passing on him in the draft.
11/3 – vs Heat, 7:30pm
The Hawks welcome the Heat into their newly remodeled arena for a weekend matchup. The Heat are led by Goran Dragic and Josh Richardson. The Hawks are shorthanded down low so Hassan Whiteside could be a problem. Also can’t count out the savvy veteran Dwayne Wade. Should be a fun weekend matchup.
