ATL Hawks Weekly Preview 10/21

Going into this week, the Atlanta Hawks have 3 games on their schedule. The biggest game is the home opener on 10/24 against the Dallas Mavericks. There has been a lot of talk about the Hawks 192 million dollar renovation and the pics of the Hawks new digs are nothing short of stunning.

10/21 – @ Cleveland Cavs, 6:00pm

The Hawks came out a little flat at first but put up 40 points in the second quarter and ran away from the Cavs. Looking back this might be the game considered Trae Young’s coming out party. The rookie finished with 35 points on 13-23 shooting and 11 assist. The Hawks finished the game with 6 players in double figures.

Postgame the Hawks players gave coach Lloyd Pierce a water bottle shower to celebrate the rookie coach’s first win. It definitely was a good night for the Hawks as they grabbed their first win of the season.

10/24 – vs Mavericks, 7:00pm

This is the game many people have circled on their calendars because of the whole Trae Young / Luka Doncic storyline but most importantly it is the opening of the new State Farm arena. The energy in this game will be electric.

10/27 – vs Bulls, 7:30pm

The Bulls will come into this game on the 2nd half of a back to back, they have a game in Charlotte the night before so hopefully they will run into a team with tired legs. The Bulls are led by Zach Levine who is off to a hot start. Jabari Parker is on the squad as well but he is still working his way through injuries. Should be a fun night at State Farm.
